Our dental practice is located in Lara Beach known be one of Turkeys more glamorous resorts. It offers a long stretch of sandy beach, nightlife, glitzy hotels and lots of shopping. It's often described as Turkey's Las Vegas since you'll find the main strip lined with hotels designed to look like famous landmarks. It is also home to plenty of clubs that attract the odd celebrity and live evening entertainment consisting of shows, quiz nights and DJs.

One of the main attractions is the beach, all 12 km of pristine Blue Flag sands. The waves here are gentle, making it ideal for families with younger children. The beach is well-facilitated, with everything from umbrellas and sun loungers to beach bars and sports. Whether you fancy some volleyball, renting a catamaran or having a go at some of the water sports (windsurfing, jet-skiing, parasailing), there will be plenty to keep you busy.

If you get tired of the beach, there are lots of gift shops and markets, as well as Turkey's best shopping centre: The Sultan Bazaar. Here you'll find everything from souvenirs to designer brands. Pick up some locally made ceramics to take back home with you or indulge in a Turkish bath at the hammam.

Top attractions:

Just to the west of Lara Beach is one of the most popular natural attractions in the area: Düden waterfalls. The 40-metre falls are impressive when viewed on land, but for the best views take a boat trip out to see them in all their glory.

If you're looking for more day trips, then a visit to Antalya should be next on your list. Just 25 minutes away by taxi, the city offers historical sightseeing, a bustling marina, charming old streets, museums, shops and restaurants.

Best restaurants:

You'll have plenty of choices when looking for somewhere to dine out in Lara Beach. Fans of the movie Titanic can visit the Titanic Resort where you'll discover Sapore Restaurant, which is open until late and serves a choice of classic Italian dishes.

The eatery offers a taste of dining in the style of the Yoruks, a Turkish tribe, and provides a range of Turkish treats. For something laid-back, head to Sunset Bar where you can enjoy a salad, burger or come by later to enjoy the entertainment over cocktails.
